In a garage door emergency the truck matters less than the straight answer: what happened, whether it's safe to touch, and how fast it needs fixing. That's the phone call. The truck follows when it should.

The door is closed and staying closed, the noise is new but the door still runs, or the opener died and the manual release, pulled with the door fully closed, lets the door rise a few inches easily by hand (a heavy door stays down). We'll say so on the phone - an honest "this can wait until Tuesday" costs us an emergency fee and earns your trust, which is the better trade.
After hours, a single repair still prices off the same $100-$350 band as daytime work, toward the top of it, and any call-out fee is stated on the phone before anyone is dispatched. Each job's range is on the full price sheet.
Safety, since we're here
Never unbolt anything attached to the spring system - the bottom brackets on a closed door are under full tension and are the classic YouTube-repair injury. On a healthy door that is fully closed, the red release cord is safe to pull, and the door should lift a few inches easily by hand. If it is heavy, leave it down and call. Everything holding the springs is off limits. When in doubt, describe it to us first.

Is a broken garage door considered an emergency?
It depends on what it's doing, and we'll tell you honestly which you have. Door stuck OPEN with your home exposed, a car trapped when you need it, or a door that's come off its track and could fall - treat those as emergencies. A door stuck closed on a garage you can live without for a day usually isn't, and scheduling it normally costs less.
What should I do while I wait?
Keep people and pets away from the door, especially if it's off track or hanging crooked - a jammed door can let go without warning. Don't keep pressing the opener button; if the counterbalance has failed you're burning out the motor. If the door is stuck open overnight, move valuables out of sight and light the garage.
Can you walk me through getting my car out?
Not by lifting it. If a spring or cable has snapped, the door is dead weight with nothing to hold it up, and we won't talk anyone into standing under it. Leave it closed. A trapped car behind a broken door is exactly the emergency this call is for. A technician gets the door up and the car out, usually with the repair done on the same visit. If the call shows it's only the opener that died and the door itself is fine, we'll say that plainly too.
Does emergency service cost extra?
An after-hours call carries a stated call-out fee on top of the normal repair price - you'll hear the number on the phone and see it on the written estimate before anyone is dispatched. No arrival-and-surprise pricing, at 2 PM or 2 AM.
